Bone health

Your bones are changing. A DEXA scan tells you how.

Osteopenia and osteoporosis are often called "silent" conditions, you may not notice bone density loss until a fracture occurs. The good news: DEXA scanning is the gold-standard tool for measuring bone mineral density, and you don't have to wait for a doctor's referral to get tested.

What you'll learn from your report

Overview

Your DEXA report includes your Bone Mineral Density (BMD) measurement and your T-score, the standard clinical metric used to classify normal bone density, osteopenia, and osteoporosis. You'll also receive region-specific readings and be able to track changes over time.

T-score explained

A T-score above −1.0 is considered normal. Between −1.0 and −2.5 indicates osteopenia. Below −2.5 indicates osteoporosis. Your report will show exactly where you stand.

Track changes over time

A single scan gives you a baseline. Follow-up scans every 1–2 years let you and your doctor see whether your bone density is stable, improving, or declining.

Important note: our DEXA scan measures total body bone mineral density and provides a T-score. For a clinical diagnosis of osteoporosis, your physician may recommend a dedicated hip/spine DXA scan. We encourage you to share your results with your healthcare provider.
